Mike began his mortgage career in 1994 and serves as the company CEO. Mike received his CMPS (certified mortgage planning specialist) designation and is also a licensed real estate broker with the State of Maine.
In the early 90’s Mike created M. James & Co. and specialized in commercial real estate. His company was one of the first to conduct business solely representing large companies and buyers in the State of Maine.
M. James & Co., established in 1990 now is a supervised lender with the State of Maine providing non-secondary funding for construction projects, bridge loans, multi family projects and residential real estate in the State.
Mike enjoys tennis, golf, stock investing and is a loyal Patriots fan. He has also created a non-profit group S.B.G. (Student Business Group) that combines paid employment and tutoring for high school students in the Yarmouth area. Students learn to operate a small e-bay business, receive tutoring and are required to maintain a B average in the majority of their classes. |

Meg has been working in the mortgage industry since 1985. She and her husband, Mike, started The Mortgage Office in 1995. She served as president of the Mortgage Bankers Association and served on the board for over 8 years. She is a former Rotarian and helped start the Yarmouth High School Interact Club which is on its 7th year.
Meg has her designation as (CMPS) Certified Mortgage Planning Specialist and takes an active role up in Augusta on any mortgage related bills that are introduced in the legislature.
Meg's commitement to customer service is reflected in all the customers who keep coming back to Meg for her can do attitude and solving their immediate financial needs. Meg and Mike reside in Yarmouth with their son who attends Yarmouth High School. |

Steve began his mortgage career in 2002 and was named partner at The Mortgage Office in 2005. He received his CMPS designation in 2006 and is on the Board of Directors for the Mortgage Bankers Association.
Steve truly enjoys meeting new people and working hard to get his
clients the best mortgage program and rate in the most streamlined
manner possible. He is proud of the customer service that The
Mortgage Office provides and welcomes people to stop in the office and
see over 100 thank you letters on the walls!
A resident of Cape Elizabeth with his wife and three children, Steve is
active in the Yarmouth and Portland Chamber of Commerce, Casco Bay Soccer, and Cape
Elizabeth Little League.

Sandy
has over twelve years’ experience in mortgage lending, including
traditional bank lending with Androscoggin Savings Bank, helping to
open one of the earliest mortgage companies in the state with
Commonwealth Mortgage, and nine years here at The Mortgage Office. This
breadth of experience has included customer relations, processing the
paperwork, and facilitating closings, providing an in-depth knowledge
of the complete mortgage process.
Sandy enjoys matching her customers to the best mortgage
product for their situation. “There are so many options available
in home mortgages today,” she says. “I look at my job
almost like a treasure hunt – my customers give me the clues, and
the loan I find for them which satisfies all their criteria is the
treasure.” |
